Dr. Dawn Patrick

Dawn Patrick has been practicing functional nutrition and chiropractic for over 20 years. She received her graduate degree from Sherman College of Chiropractic and is formally trained in both acupuncture and eastern herbs and medicine.

Equipped with B.S. and M.S. degrees in Nutrition, Dr. Patrick takes a clinical approach in her preventative and specific treatment methods through applied bio-individuality. Although degenerative diseases are her specialty, she has demonstrated expertise in:

The Human Nutrition Program Dr. Patrick studied and implements provides a biochemical and physiological analysis of nutrition and its roles in health and disease. With her refined skillset, Dr. Patrick builds efficacious nutrition protocols that are personalized to each individual’s health needs. By providing each patient with a thorough understanding of their diagnosis, she empowers her patients to not only remedy their current ailments, but to optimize their health long-term.

Dawn Patrick has been local to Charleston, SC for 30 years. She is a veteran of the US Navy and frequent volunteer at the Ralph Johnson VA Hospital. Dr. Patrick has a passion for serving her community. She has served on the board of The Dove House Children’s Advocacy Center for 15 years and currently works hand-in-hand with our local TheFormationProject.org  

Above all else, Dr. Patrick is a passionate teacher whose top priority is to equip her patients with the tools they need to improve and maintain their health for life. When you walk into her office, you will notice the atmosphere is warm and home-like; this is no accident. She strives to create an inclusive environment where all who enter feel welcome. More than anything, Dr. Patrick longs to build up her community by empowering others to take control of their health and she revels in the lasting relationships created in the process.

Dr. David M Smith

Dr. David M. Smith has practiced Chiropractic for over 35 years. He graduated from Sherman College of Chiropractic in 1985. Before joining the staff at Total Health Solutions, Dr. Smith practiced in Sterling Heights, Michigan his first 8 years of practice and has practiced in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina for the past 25 years.

Dr. Smith also served as an Adjunct Professor at Virginia College for 7 years. He taught Anatomy and Physiology, Medical Terminology, Pathophysiology, and Medical Law and Ethics. He is a past President of the Board of Directors for East Cooper Community Outreach in Mt. Pleasant, a graduate of the Dale Carnegie Skills for success course, and an accomplished Toastmaster

Dr. Smith is married to his wife Melanie and has three children, 2 boys and a girl. He is a member of Seacoast Church and in his free time enjoys exercise, going to concerts and collecting old baseball cards. He is also an avid fan of all Detroit sports and Michigan Football.
